Alsterwanderweg - southern part

From Poppenbüttel S-Bahn station we set off via Wentzelplatz towards the south. After a short walk along Poppenbüttler Landstra;e, a staircase leads us down to the Alsterwanderweg, which takes us alternately along both sides of the river. As we pass some rowing clubs, our path moves away from the water, giving us a better view of the hustle and bustle. Soon a stairway leads us back to the banks of the Alster, where we soon reach the Ohlsdorfer Badeanstalt. There, on warm summer days, we have the opportunity to take a refreshing plunge into the cold water. We then continue, following the H mark, always along the water. Over the imposing Meenkbrücke we change banks, pass the Winterhuder Fährhaus and finally cross the tributary of the Tarpenbek. Now the beautiful green spaces of Eichpark and Alsterpark await us.
