Alta Via dei Monti Liguri

The Ligurian Hills Trail runs from Ventimiglia on the French border through the Ligurian mountains to Ceparana near La Spezia on the border with Tuscany. The path runs parallel to the coastline to a certain extent and the elevation ensures a breathtaking view of the Ligurian Sea along almost the entire route. The trail leads through a variety of scenic highlights such as the Beigua Nature Park, the Parco Regionale delle Capanne di Marcolo and the Aveto Nature Park. The highest point of the tour, Monte Saccarello at 2201 m, is crossed at the beginning of the long-distance trail. The stages in the summit region and those on Monte Galero are among the most beautiful in the west of the stage tour.
