At the beginning, the trail runs along the former railway line at Honsfeld, which has been converted into a Ravel cycle path. At first, you walk on the 'Warche variant' of GR56 before following a section of the 'Amel variant'. After the little village of Buchholz, the trail forks off southward towards the impressive Frankenbach valley. Via Manderfeld and Eimerscheid you come to the village of Herresbach, which is quite high up. Parts of the valley of the Großweberbach, which now follows, are conservation areas. Via a small path running along the campsite you reach the destination at Schönberg, where the look of the village is determined by the Our.

BÜLLINGEN - We start at the parish church of Büllingen and come to the main road N.632.
On the other side of the road we continue down the "Geissberg". We also keep our direction at the next junction and walk along the road "Am Kammerborn". Still keeping the same direction, we walk up the street "Am Hügel". Also here, where the road "Am Hügel" turns to the right, we constantly keep our direction, we walk straight ahead. The narrow road is called "Zur Bannmühle" and leads us over a railway bridge out of Büllingen. We are now on the way to Honsfeld.
