From the Poncione di Braga refuge, continue along the path to the Filo della Tanèda and look out for the turquoise waters of the Lago della Froda glistening below. It's a short descent on rock slabs and stones to the Piatto della Froda, then to the Corte della Froda, surrounded by majestic peaks.
The alp is cultivated in summer: why not stop by for some Vallemaggia cheese? The route then follows a gravel road and a footpath to return, partly through woodland, to the starting point at Piano di Peccia.
Subject to prior reservation (+41 (0)79 577 48 11), a bus can bring walkers to Peccia for connections with timetabled bus services.

From Locarno railway station: bus 315 towards Cavergno, Paese. Alight at Bignasco, Posta and change to 334 in direction Fusio, Paese. Alight at the bus stop Peccia, Paese. Bus 335 to Pian di Peccia. Call 10 minutes before departure (+41 79 577 48 11).
Return from Pian di Peccia: Bus 335 to Peccia, Paese. Call 40 minutes before departure (+41 79 577 48 11). Bus 334 to Bignasco, Posta. Take the bus 315 towards Locarno Stazione. Alight at Locarno station. Further information:
