Kayaking from lively village of Rautalampi to the peacefull rockpainting cliff of Toussunlinna includes the sanctity of nature and nature beauty of finnish old waterways .
The starting point of the kayaking trip to Toussunlinna is the historic village of Rautalampi. It is worth of an hour walk. In addition to the museum's exhibitions and museum shop, there is an old wooden house, Malisen talo, with a café in the courtyard and many nice restorans on day time. The church of Rautalampi itself is worth of visit and there are guided walking tours in the summer in the Church Park (Kirkkopuisto) and cemetery.
Rämäkkä Holidays locate about 500 metres from the beach, up to the Rämäkkä Hill. They rent jet-skis and sub-boards and offer accommodation and restaurat services. It is also possible visit Rämäkkä by kayaks or start the route from there.

Follow the road to the south (number 5/E63) 23 km and turn right (west) and follow the road 9. Drive 34 km and turn right and follow the route 69 to Rautalampi. Drive 12,6 km and turn left Uimalantie.
Driving directions from Jyväskylä Railway Station to Uimalantie 1, Rautalampi:
Follow the street Hannikaisenkatu/street, which becomes Vapaudenkatu (number 6018) and finally main highway. Follow the highway 88,3 km and turn left to Rautalampi. Follow the road 69/kantatie 69 12,6 km and turn left to uimalantie 1.

It is advisable to go on a kayak instead of a canoe, as the water is prone to wind. Changing clothes, towel, telephone and snacks should be packed in the waterproof kayak. The thunderstorm should not be paddled.
