This morning, sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery as you return to Gothenburg by bus (2.5 hours). Check into your hotel then hop on the tram to the Botaniska Trädgård just a 20-minute trip from the city centre. This unique nature reserve feels a world away from the city. Enjoy a loop walk around the gardens and forest trails of the Änggårdsbergen Nature Reserve, with 1000s of plant and tree species to be seen it's a botanists delight. The route follows what we feel takes in the best sights the reserve has to offer but feel free to make this day your own.
Sitting by one of the small ponds or the waterfall in the Rock Garden is very relaxing.
Take care in the woodland after rainfall as the tree roots and rocks can be fairly slippery.
A pair of sturdy walking trainers will be enough for this route if you dont want to wear full hiking boots. Along with the rest of your usual gear for a day outdoors remember to pack a wind/waterproof and an extra layer, especially during early/late season.
