Climb up to Angel's Landing, one of Zion's most famous features
Take the shuttle to Grotto Trailhead from town (the stop after the Zion Lodge). From here, enjoy a dramatic climb into Refridgerator Canyon up to the trail's high point. The last 1/2 mile of the walk extends out onto the Angel's Landing spine - though there are chains/ropes/carved steps for support along the way, there are steep drop-offs on either side of the trail. If you are not a fan of heights, you can easily turn around before this section and still get a wonderful hike!
If you did not do the Emerald Pool loop on the previous day, you can add this to your walk from the Grotto Trailhead. On the way back, just before crossing the Virgin River back to the trailhead, contine to your right on the Kayenta Trail - this will take you to the lower, then the upper Emerald Pool. Alternatively, begin the hike at Zion Lodge and hike along the Kayenta trail until you join the route described in this day's walk.
