Grand View Point Trail is an easy trail that leads us past steep rock faces to the southernmost viewpoint on the plateau of Island in the Sky in the northern part of Canyonlands National Park. The panoramic views are stunning.
A gigantic panorama awaits us at the two lookouts at the beginning and at the end of the trail. The view is amazing: the fissured Monument Basin with its rugged sandstone towers and the imposing rocky edge of the white rims, and the Colorado River Canyon and the distant La Sal Mountains can all be seen from up here. In between, a sandy trail leads us through a unique, desert-like landscape.
At sections, the trail leads alonng high and steep cliffs. There are no barriers here. Take children ny the hand.
