This walk starts from the first Titsa bus stop after the Camel Center when coming from Icod. It's on a U bend and by one end of Calle Donitz which we proceed up until turning right to follow SL TF 151.3 Ruta del Agua towards Ruigomez. We proceed on this track until we meet a signpost indicating the Ruta del Agua turning left into a trail. We ignore the signpost and remain on the track, which continues serving farm fields until reaching a fork with a plateau to the right.
After enjoying the panoramic views, we proceed down the right fork track. From here the track is less used and is overgrown with vegetation in places. We look to remain on the main track and ignore all other turnings.
We go round a wide right hairpin bend and approx. 200m later come to a small opening that suggests the track continues ahead but that is false! This opening contains a narrow left hairpin bend partly concealed by vegetation. Approx. 60m later, we follow a right bend that leads into a large S bend going round a concealed farmer's compound. The track continues around rustic wooden rail fencing and goes by a ramp used by bikers before turning into a trail. The trail heads down eventually turning into a concrete farmer's track before joining a tarmac road.
The route from here to the finish is marked. We turn left up the road and around a Barranco above Tierra del Trigo until meeting a signpost for Cuevas Negras. We go down this trail which offers some of the finest flora and views to be found on the island. The trail meets with the main PR TF-53 trail which we follow down taking in the dramatic views through the Barranco to Los Silos and the finish.
