A superb coastal walk from the village of Solva to the smallest city in the UK, St David's.
Part of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path, this stunning walk hugs the coast from the village and community of Solva to the small, and prefectly formed city of St David's. This walk will take you past many coves, hidden beaches and historical sights as you walk to the home of St David's Cathedral. You will pass St Non's Chapel, the ruinous birthplace of St David, and the Well that was said to have sprung up during the thunderstorm at his birth in the 6th Century.
One of the best highlights awaits you when you arrive in St David's and visit the catherdral in the centre of this small city. Prior to this you will get the chance to visit the ancient ruinous birthplace of St David with it's accompanying Well.
You may cross small streams and beach areas as you pass through the coves. Please take care and consider the weather conditions before you set out. Again, please take care at the cliff edges and ensure that you stay well back from the edge during high winds, or thick fog. Mist and fog can be a common feature early in the morning.
Although the ascents and decents are not very marked, it can be muddy underfoot during wet weather so it can be very slippy. You may also come across very occasional steep rocky ground. Please take care near the cliff edges and stay well back from loose ground near them.
This is a coastal path with little shelter so the top five suggestions for equipment would be:

Keep a look out for the Acorn waymarking that will keep you on track. Although ensure that you monitor your route notes as you go.
Once in Solva you have a choice of a number of bars and restaurants to eat, namely, The Swan Inn, Harbour Inn, or the Royal Geogre just hit the hill from the small harbour.
Solva has a number of shops including a pharmacy if needed.
St David's might be the smallest city in the UK but it has a lot of restaurants, shops, supermarkets and amenities to fit most situations. The Bishops standing right in front of St David's Monument is perfect for food and has a good selection to choose from.
In all cases please remember to check opening times.
