The impressive panoramic views on this Rossbrand tour are well worth the walk up to the Radstädter Hut, on the sunny side of the Schwemmberg. Above the tree line, the plateau opens out giving 360’ views out over the alpine landscape: Hoher Dachstein with the Bischofsmütze, Hochkönig and Tennengebirge mountains, and the Hohe Tauern with the Großglockner. Rossbrand ridge is a green island in the heart of these impressive mountains giving the best views in the region. Home-made food and special treats such as the Rossbrand platter are on offer at the Radstädter Hut. This tour also takes in the Country Lores themed trail.

Tauern motorway (A10), Altenmarkt exit (63) then Altenmarkt west, into Altenmarkt to the High St., turn left at the BP petrol station to the next junction right and park in front of the tourist information.
Parking next to tourist information. Walk to the start point on the Schwemmberg by crossing the High street to Stampfergasse, over the Enns bridge following path 80 to Grubgut road then left onto Schwemmberg road.
