Medium lenght round tour around "Solymár". Nice viewpoints, a long walk in the forest, waterfalls and in the end you will visit the castle of "Solymár" from the middle ages. It can be a whole day trip with longer breaks.
The tour starts at the temple of 'Solymár' and the first goal is to reach the hilltop to the west. In the way up you can visit a cave (it's closed but there is a viewpoint at the entrance). From the hilltop you can see "Pilis mountains". From here a long forest walk lead your way back to the south edge of 'Solymár'. From here you will visit the nice path along a tiny river what is beautiful. This path leads you to the historical small castle from the middle age around king 'Mátyás'.
From the temple follow green sign to the west. It will lead you to the hilltop. In the forest search for green cave sign to your right if you want to visit the cave.
After the hilltop follow yellow sign till you reach the road where you will find a fuel station. This part is a long forest walk. Cross the road there and search for entrance to the forest at the crossing. From here simply follow the path to the castle which will be in a hilltop.
After the castle follow the road to the west back to the temple.
Public transport friendly
You can go by buses from 'Budapest'. You need to buy additional ticket because this village isn't belong to 'Budapest'.
If you go by train change the tour's starting point to the castle. It's closer to the train station.
Free parking places at the temple and near to the castle if you want to go from there.
