This out and back trail leads you along parts of Jakobsweg and is very pretty. I always make sure I stop at the Landgaststätte Priorberg for a beer, schnitzel or regional specialty. The food and service are amazing here ~ then the trail continues through the tiny dorf(village) of Oberhof. Keep following the signs for Glatt - and they will lead you to the Wasserschloss Glatt. Here you will find cakes of all kinds, but especially the famous Schwarzwald Kirchtorte (Black Forest Cake) - an eccentric museum on the top floor is worth seeing and bathrooms are here too. The castle is open for visitors too - separate fee. They welcome hikers but have lockers to store your backpacks as they are not allowed on the tour.
This trail begins in Dettingen - at the beginning there is an especially nice steep hill. But then it levels off on the top of the mountain. The fall and winter it is especially slippery, be careful with tree debris. I loved this trail because there was equal parts farmland and forest. The signage is easy to see where to go next. Absolutely stop in Priorberg at this blessed beer garden. Fun people and great food.
Bathrooms are not on this trail, so you'll need to stop in either Priorberg at the Gaststatte or wait until you arrive at Wasserschloss Glatt.
Signage is good, but not great, remember to follow the directionals on some of the wood signs, if they are tilted up and there is a crossing you'll head in the direction of the pointed part of the wood sign.
