Points of Interest:
Saint-Cyprien where your walk begins is a beautiful old town, with great views over the surrounding countryside, should you wish to take a walk around the town. Your actual walk takes you down old streets and past the 12th century abbey church and bell tower. There is also an 18th century Chartreuse here which was built for the chief officer of the French Royal Navy.
You will also pass the Font de Gaume on your walk today. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1979, this prehistoric cave is one of the most incredible Palaeolithic sites in the world. (http://eyzies.monuments-nationaux.fr/en/). They only allow 80 people in per day, so if you wish to visit you will have to begin lining up a lot earlier than its opening time of 9:30am. There would be time to visit the next day before your loop walk of Les Eyzies.
