Walk from La Roque Gageac to Vitrac taking in the iconic views of the limestone cliffs in the distance.
Walk straight out of La Roque Gageac on its cobbles narrow streets and then set off into the countryside. There are some great views at times on this walk and you can see the limestone cliffs. Walk to Vitrac, a small village with a church where you could take a break if you wish. Then you walk through a combination of forest and farmland and descend back into La Roque Gageac from the north.

La Roque Gageac and its overhanging cliffs and ochre-coloured stone houses sheltering underneath. It is a “Les Plus Beaux Villages en France”. It is small and simply a row of riverside houses squeezed between the Dordogne River to the front, and sheltered below the overhanging cliffs behind. It is very picturesque.
