This is the route of the E4 European Long Distance Trail between the towns of Florina and Aminteo.

Coming out of Florina a forest track and some footpaths through the woods takes you past two isolated churches. Then it is along a ridge weaving around summits and passing a large aerial. The route drops down into a valley near the village of Drosopigi, before steeply climbing up the otherside of the valley passed another isolated church and an overgrown cemetery. As the original E4 path is so overgrown this route faollows forest tracks up onto the next ridge before the trail drops into the picturesque village of Nimfeo, with its stone built buildings. Between Florina and Mimfeo I saw the footprints of wild bears, and in Nimfeo there is a bear sanctuary well worth visiting. I also saw a wild tortoise crossing the track. After Nimfeo the trail goes through more woodland before dropping into the plains. The final section is along a busy road into the town of Aminteo.
