The large signpost opposite the hiking and cross-country skiing house at the Vogtlandbahn, Ferienpark stop, is the entrance to your hike. The ridge trail runs on a path slightly below the tracks of the Vogtlandbahn. When the path meets the Schöneck - Markneukirchen local connection road, take the forest path in the direction of Wohlbach. A few meters further on, you will have a remarkable view of the Vogtland hilltop landscape. After two kilometers through the forest past the Färberlöcher, which are described on an educational board, the Kammweg leads you to a clearing. Now begins a very varied section of the trail with a magnificent view of the village of Gunzen. Enjoying the view you hike mostly slightly downhill to the Pfarrwald. Down to Wohlbach a brook splashes along the path and you can see the first houses of the village. You are welcome to take a look at the medieval church of the village before you head uphill again towards Hermsgrün. Always hiking along a little above the small village, you will be offered wonderful views of this agriculturally influenced place. Then follows a forest hike in the direction of Adorf in the Vogtland. The Kammweg leads you past the town's train station in the direction of the town center. You will cross the federal road B92 and the river Weiße Elster. The river rises near Asch/Czech Republic and flows into the Saale in Halle. Slightly uphill, the Kammweg runs parallel past the city center and market square. A detour to the town's mother-of-pearl and local history museum, which is housed in the historic Freiberg Gate, is worthwhile. On the Zeidelweidetal nature trail you follow the ridge path into the Tetterwein valley. Here you can get an impression of the renaturation of a valley once used extensively for agriculture. Shortly after the Vogtland Panorama Weg turns off , the Kammweg follows an overgrown path to a private property and leads you further to the customs houses before Gettengrün, a "stone's throw" from Bohemia. On the way to Gettengrün and through the village you will be accompanied by unique panoramic views. Gettengrün is also the birthplace of the cartoonist Erich Ohser, who became known under the synonym "e.o.plauen". Before reaching his birthplace with a memorial plaque, you will cross the varied village of Gettengrün. Afterwards, a forest path leads uphill to Eichigt, which welcomes you with a natural swimming pool. The bus stop Obereichigt on the main road is your stage destination.
