Konttaisen kuhaus Trail 2 km, Valtavaara-Pyhävaara Nature Reserve
Short but demanding circle trail to the top of Konttainen hill and back. The top offers really rewarding views to lake Konttaisenjärvi and the surrounding hills of Ruka.
Konttaisen polku trail is part of Karhunkierros Trail. Starting from the Konttainen parking area the path ascends steelpy to the top of Konttainen hill. There are tree roots on the path along the way. This short trail leads you to scenic lookout point that reveals stunning views to the surrounding wilderness – a great choice for admiring the sunset and the white nights of summer.
- Trail is marked with wooden poles with green ribbons and yellow reflectors.
- This is a circle trail but please notice that Karhunkierros trail continues forward from the top. Follow the signs and trailmarks. If you want, you can lengthen your hike along Karhunkierros Trail towards Oulanka National Park (follow the path forward) or to Ruka Ski Resort (follow the path back to the direction of the parking area), but please note that that trail is not roundtrip.
