Rim Trail at the Grand Canyon
The South Rim of the Grand Canyon is the most touristy area in the Grand Canyon National Park. In addition to numerous accommodation facilities, there is also a visitor centre and a small grocery and souvenir shop. The Rim Trail is a beautiful half-day hike on well-surfaced trails that leads from viewpoint to viewpoint directly along the rim of the canyon. Numerous start and end points of the trail can be reached by free shuttle bus, which guarantees great flexibility. The trail is generally suitable for prams and wheelchairs, but there is usually a lot of activity around the Visitor Centre.

“They take pictures of the mountain climbers at the top of the mountain. They don’t take pictures along the way cause who wants to remember the relentless climb, the pain and anguish of taking it to the next level – nobody takes pictures of that, nobody wants to remember. We just want to remember the view from the top, the breathtaking moment at the edge of the world. That’s what keeps us climbing and it’s worth the pain, that’s the crazy part. It’s worth anything.“ – Anonymous
