Navajo Trail in Bryce Canyon
The Navajo Trail is one of the most popular round trips in Bryce Canyon. The trail leads from the parking lot at Sunset Point down the well-maintained path to the amphitheater. The trail is accessible in both directions. However, in strong sunlight, it is recommended to descend on the eastern side as described here and ascend again on the more shady western side. The rock formations are beautiful and, especially in good sunlight, they shine in brilliant colors. The Navajo Trail leads through beautiful, winding narrow canyons, into which sometimes hardly any light falls. This creates breathtaking views and moods that are continually changing. If you want to, you can extend the route by turning to the Queens Garden Trail at the lowest point of the round trip.
