This is a very challenging hike from the Top down 50feet west of the drive into Horseshoe Canyon down the 4 wheel driveway to the trail head. Then it's 2200 feet down to 900 feet to the river. Passing next to the eye of the needle. Difficult and sure footing almost all the way.

Trip is about 7 miles. It's a very intense trip. Rough and some climbing is needed at the eye. Path can be up on the sides of the canyon 200 feet with a trail only a foot wide.
Worth it. We have been up and down this route several times. Backpacking now from the top down.
