Great little hike through the woods and then along the Eno River. The route takes a short out and back to the swimming hole toward the middle of the hike. Easy for a family.

The Eno River State Park is a great little area close to Chapel Hill and Durham. There are some primitive campsites along this trail and it is a short hike all the way around so it is a great way to introduce small kids to primitive camping without being too far from the car! In the summer there are a couple of swimming holes and plenty of creek hiking along the latter half.
