Wilton to Ox Drove 9.1m

1. Start by heading south and crossing bridge. After a further 500 yards take right turn into Burcombe Lane. After ½ mile take footpath right adjacent to Bulbridge Farm. Proceed North to cross River Nadder and then emerge onto busy A30. Tum left and after 20 yards cross the A 30 and enter field opposite. Head up diagonally right across field to exit and cross railway line. Follow footpath right then turn left along school boundary, climbing gently. Follow footpath until meeting track.

2. Follow track north for a few hundred yards until passing Ugford Red Buildings, then take track on the left. Follow good track (Ox Drove) with good open views for 1.5 miles to track junction. Turn right and take overgrown track to the north east, routing towards woodland and under overhead electricity cables after 400 yards. After 1 mile emerge onto First Broad Drive. If there are logs to the left it will make a good lunch stop.

3. Proceed straight across junction, heading north and follow track downhill towards Great Wishford emerging from woodland into open country. Track eventually bears right and runs alongside a railway line. After ½ mile pass under railway line, cross a minor road and take footpath alongside River Wylye until arriving at a weir.

4. Cross over the river and follow footpath South for ½ mile re-crossing the river to arrive at a sewage works. Turn right on minor road and after 70 yards tum left through gate onto footpath leading to railway crossing. After crossing railway line turn left and follow line along the edge of fields until meeting a minor road. Follow quiet country road towards Ditchampton and after nearly 1 mile, pass under a railway line and shortly meet the busy A30. Turn left and follow the main road into the Town Centre passing the Bear Inn on the left. At main crossroads, turn right into South Street and find cars after 400 yards.
