Penistone hill circular via top Withins.
moderate
Distance 26.5 km
Parking is easy on penistone hill area. The route takes in part of the Bronte way, Pennine way and the Calder Aire link. It is on mainly good tracks with very little boggy sections. There is even a tarmack section with little car use. We had a reasonable day with little wind but i would expect it would be uncomfortable in some places with a harsh wind.
The back end of our walk took a detour to Oxenhope and Haworth. This could be esily omitted and go straight back to the start point and will make the route a little shorter. Part of this section was the muddyest of the whol walk.
If you take on this walk, enjoy it as we did.
