A circuit of Oxwich Point between Oxwich and Horton
moderate
Distance 9.9 km
The prominent headland of Oxwich Point makes for one of Gower’s most popular coastal circuits. This walk takes the longer option, cutting across the neck of the headland as far as Horton before heading back along the longer, coastal route to Oxwich. And what a coast this is, with limestone cliffs, rugged coastal common and beautiful deciduous woodland. Look out for the lovely old church of St Illtyd’s, and pay a visit if you can to the grand Tudor house of Oxwich Castle.
