Disabled Ramblers
A circular ramble from the Earth Trust near Wittenham Clumps to Shillingford and Dorchester.
moderate
Distance 13 km
From the gap between Wittenham Clumps and Castle Hill the route descends through woodland before crossing farmland to Shillingford Bridge Hotel for a coffee stop.
Take care crossing the main road (A4074) at Shillingford - use the light-controlled crossing.
More fields lead to Dorchester where there is a disabled toilet.
The route goes through Dyke Hills and becomes very narrow.
Little Wittenham Bridge across the Thames was the site of the first Poohsticks World Championships.
After Little Wittenham the route re-joins the outward leg and climbs back up to the gap between the Clumps and Castle Hill.
