Offa's Dyke Path - Leg 1 (my informal numbering): A (hopefully) series of circular, day-routes that in aggregate will traverse the entire Offa's Dyke Path. This Leg gets you from the official start, through Chepstow. Total length 18 km. Length of the actual Offa's Dyke Path covered = 8.3 km.

Throughout this guide the abbreviation ODP = Offa's Dyke Path.
The ODP itself is well signed either with traditional footpath style posts and/or stylised acorn symbols. So between the on-the-ground guidance and this digital trace, there is little need for additional navigation instructions - although I have added the occasional note where deemed helpful. For those parts of the route that are not on the ODP, more comprehensive directions are included.
On this leg:Waypoint 1 to Waypoint 6 gets you to the official start of the ODP.
Waypoint 6 to 13 follows the ODP itself (total 8.3 kilometres).
Waypoint 13 to the end gets you back to the parking place, largely utilising the Gloucestershire Way.
