Start from the Saltergate layby on the A619 opposite the Hole of Horcum. Take care for the few metres along the roadside then turn onto the track. This out and back has a few big potholes so smaller scooters might have difficulty.
The turning point is at the picnic area and car park. Access by car is possible to this point but you will need to pay to enter Dalby Forest.
There are good views to the north across Saltergate Moor.
