Noirmont - Corbière
School tour high über the steep cliffs of Noirmont to the lighthouse La Corbière
Noirmont is a beautiful country park in South Jersey's Portelet Bay. Cliffs covered in gorse, sweeping views of Portelet beach and the sea, and relics from the German occupation make it a very special place. Bunkers, warehouses and battle towers bear witness to the Germans' stay in Jersey. Today, the beautiful landscape is enjoyed here. On the way to the lighthouse we walk along the steep cliffs and marvel at the breathtaking view over the sea. Stops can be made at Ouaisné Bay, one of the most diverse nature reserves on the island, or at St. Brelade's Bay, which has already been voted the third best beach in Great Britain. Our tour will take us to the lighthouse. The destination of our tour is the impressive lighthouse La Corbière, which rises on a rock out of the sea off the south-west coast of Jersey. Only accessible on foot at low tide, it is one of the island's most popular attractions.
