A lovely long day out exploring the highways and byways between Ludlow and Croft Ambrey Hillfort.

Distance 30.3 km
A fairly strenuous but satisfying day's walk along quiet lanes and well trodden paths, with a lovely mix of villages, hamlets woodland, forestry, farmland and an Iron-Age Hillfort. Many opportunities for wonderful views over the Shropshire Hills and beyond into Wales.
One 300 yd stretch of busier road with verge near Moor Park School.
Parking at Smithfield Car Park on Sheet Road.
You could also take about 4 miles off this walk by parking up at Black Pool Car Park in Mortimer Forest. If you do this, on the return journey, do not cross Mary Knoll Brook and follow the Climbing Jack Waymarkers up to the right then the Black Pool Loop signs back to the Car Park.
