From Linton ,follow track out of the village to the West with stream on your right .The track takes you to a "hump back " bridge over the trackbed of Skipton to Grassington Railway Line .From here follow track through fields and on reaching B6265 ,take the track down the field on your right before crossing road and into further fields .Follow track through a few fields towards Grisedale Cote Farm .On exiting field ,turn right onto road and walk 200 m or so looking out for  track on your right -enter fields again here ,and with stream on your right head towards Skirethornes Lane .Turn right onto lane and then after 200m or so turn left and follow track ,bearing left up into Threshfield Quarry .Head up the track with quarry on your left and Long Ashes Site on your right .The track steepens a little towards end eventually reaching Cairn and viewing platform .From here retrace track a short distance looking out for track on your left that descends down towards Northern edge of Long Ashes .Turn right into the Long Ashes Park and head South through the park .Exit the park at its Southern end and with woodland on your right walk across field towards the B6160 .Turn right onto road and walk towards Threshfield .Cross road in Threshfield and take road out towards Linton .Shortly after the road descends ,look out for path on your right ,enter field here and descend before crossing stream and then under old Railway bridge before retracing track back to Linton
