Stage 32 and part of Stage 33 of the Lancashire Way. This is designed for a solo walker to make crossing Ward's Stone/Wolfhole Crag manageable in two "there and back" routes.
difficult
Distance 12.8 km
To make a route which can be done solo, stage 32 has been combined with part of stage 33 to make a "there and back" route to Ward's Stone. The next section (33B) then approaches Ward's Stone from the other side to complete this tricky stage without the need for two cars or an alternative transport plan.
If transport can be arranged, it may be easier to complete stages 32, 33A and 33B in one go. Alternatively, complete stage 32 as a very short leg and combine 33A, B & C. For more information, see the official Lancashire Way website.
