Lancashire Way Northern Loop Stage 30B

Stage 30B of the Lancashire Way. I've chosen to split stage 30 into two parts as the first is easist to complete as a circular route after Stage 29, then following the Lancaster Canal back.


This route begins in Galgate where there is very limited parking. Galgate is served by busses, alternatively the University is a short distance away with parking (paid) and a more regular bus service. Scorton is also served by busses and has some on-road parking.

Stage 30 ends in Scorton, and this route continues using the Wyre Way to Dolphinholme where we rejoin Stage 31 for a short way. Roads are then used to return to Galgate.

Please note, since designing this route the Wyre Way has been diverted following the demolition of a footbridge across the M6. An alternative route is plotted, however I have not yet walked this and cannot comment on its suitability. Always carry an additional map and follow public footpath signs.
