The route starts low in Kingsbridge in the parish of Luxborough. The Coleridge Way climbs up through farmland onto the Brendon Hills ridgeline with the most spectacular views of South Wales, Dunkery Beacon and across the border to the south you can see Dartmoor.
You walk over Lype Hill, the highest point in the Brendons and then descend to Cutcombe near Wheddon Cross.
From there you turn back and pass through a beautiful wooded valley before climbing again, almost back up onto Lype Hill. That was the final climb as from there you drop back into the valley and walk through farm and woodland to Kingsbridge.
