A tough but hugely rewarding hike on Kinder Scout.
difficult
Distance 18.2 km
This is a circular hike from the YHA in Edale, climbing up through Grindsbrook to the Kinder Scout plateau and back down Jacob's Ladder.
It has stunning views throughout, but especially from the top of Kinder Scout.
The climb up Grindsbrook is not easy because of the boulders you need to pull yourself up onto but it's not rock climbing. It is more difficult in wet weather, which is commonplace in the Peak District.
