An easy, there and back, 5 mile walk along the River Soar/Grand Union Canal to Mountsorrel.

This 5 mile walk crosses Cossington Meadows Nature Reserve and then follows the River Soar/Grand Union Canal to Mountsorrel and back. There is parking in a large layby at the start and a pub stop at the return point in Mountsorrel at The Waterside Inn. It is a flat walk but,a note of caution, it is a flood plain and can get very wet after heavy rain. Sometimes the area is under water.
