The walk starts outside the Memorial Hall in Hurst Green.
The route follows a lovely woodland path above Dean Brook (the rapid waters of which once powered four bobbin mills) before heading up along a hedge-lined track to join a lane which affords great views north to Longridge Fell and south across the Ribble valley.
