This walk explores a lovely part of the valley, with canal. railway, East Looe River and the former mill site at Plashford all featuring.

The outward route is over high ground, with good long views. Apart from some inevitable mud, the various tracks are good; there is comparatively little roadside walking.

An enjoyable walk with interesting points. We did it in May to catch the Bluebells and wild Garlic throughout the woods. A few more waypoints would be nice as the route drifts away from the navigation during the longer distances and we had to double back a few times to correct ourselves.
