High Vinnals & Deer Park on Forestry Paths

Forestry paths make this a good all-weather walk.  There is a steady climb up to High Vinnals viewpoint (and coffee bench!), then a bit of retracing your steps to venture into the quieter and possibly the most beautiful part of the Forest.The path snakes down through Deer Park, which has an open feel and many lovely views, to a bench beside a small pond.  The path continues to Black Pool Car Park and then along about 300mts of road (which can be avoided by taking the possibly muddy bridlepath through the edge of the woods).  Re-enter the Forest to take the gentle climb back up Sunny Dingle to the start.

Update 20/08/20 There is Forestry work on a section of this walk.
After around 3/4 mile when you get to the bottom of the first downhill section, there is a rather muddy stretch of around 200 yds.  Nothing that can't be negotiated with stout walking shoes and a bit of care.  Worth it for the smell of the fresh timber stacks!

Due to ongoing forestry work, please be aware that any routes up the forest, especially Vinnals side, are likely to have muddy stretches.  There may also be diversions in place on any given day.
