Short walk to Linhope Spout waterfall in the Breamish Valley
easy
Distance 5 km
A popular short walk in the Breamish Valley on mostly good surfaces involving one steep section. Linhope Spout waterfall is a pretty spot suitable for a picnic. There is a cafe at Ingram in the valley and some facilities at nearby Powburn. The midges can be bad at certain times of year so it is worth taking some insect repellant.
There is a write up of this walk on my blog at rucksackrosie.com and a video on my YouTube channel.
Many of my routes include places which are historically or environmentally sensitive, or which pass through areas with livestock. Please follow the appropriate country codes and leave no trace of your visit in order that other visitors can enjoy these walks.
