Author’s recommendation
The route can be joined at any point. Personally I like to park at the car park on the Hardens and walk down the road into Duns. This gets the road out of the way early on. I don't like dodging cars so much prefer to get this bit behind me.

Safety information
There is no footpath on much of the road that goes down into Duns along the golf course. It isn't the busiest of roads but busy enough to require due care and attention.Start
