A circular walk around the Fonthill estate
moderate
Distance 7 km
Layby/ Road parking by the side of the lake. Can fill up quickly so advisable to get here early on a weekend.
The route follows public footpaths and bridleways around the Fonthill estate. Some paths are muddy or across fields, others are more tracks. There is a small section of road walking around half way round the route and the final part is also road walking back to the car. There is a cafe towards the end called the bird and carter for refreshments. Dogs should be either on lead or kept under close control on the whole walk as there is the possibility of coming across sheep and also pheasants.
