Tyneham village was taken over by the army in WW2 as part of their military range and was never given back to the villagers.
A ramble of two halves:
The route to hill fort on Rings Hill needs a gate unlocking by a ranger. This leads to a fairly steep section before the road is reached. Turn left along a track through heath to reach Flower's Barrow and its wonderful views across Worbarrow Bay and beyond. About 3.5 miles out-and-back
The route to the sea at Worbarrow takes us past a wooded valley on the right while on the left the railway tracks carried moving targets for artillery practice. About 1.75 miles out-and-back
