Derbyshire, Monsal Trail: Millers Dale

Suitable for wheelchairs (but watch the distance) this almost flat route goes through two long but well lit tunnels on its way to Monsell Head Viaduct.

Note that there is no disabled access from the  trail up to Monsel Head village so this is an out-and-back trip unless you continue to Bakewell with return transport arranged.  However, I have not checked out this  section of the Monsal Trail.  
If necessary, it might be possible to leave the trail before Monsal Head and drop down to the minor road in Upperdale - if the bridge across the River Wye is wide enough.  There is then a steep hill up to Monsal Head.

There are disabled toilets at Millers Dale (but they might be all locked up)

The altitude profile below shows two steep rises in height. I think this must be due to loss of GPS signal while going through the tunnels as the route is flat all the way.
