A great ramble with wide views.
moderate
Distance 7.6 km
This is a great ramble with wide views over the Peak District and Stanage Edge – see if you can spot rock climbers. On return, the views are over Redmires Reservoirs.
A linear route with parking at either end. Taken from the Sheffield end, the route rises on a track that is rocky and difficult in places and so not suitable for smaller scooters. Once at Stanage Pole the route is level before turning right and descending gently to Dennis Knoll but with several water channels to negotiate which, again, might cause some difficulties.
