1 Gate here into the church grounds. Go along the North side to exit in the South east Corner of the graveyard
2. Take the right hand track
3 Go thro the kissing gate on the right to gain the right hand side of the wall/fence. Goshawk seen here in winter 2015
As you get closer to the buildings and walk past St Lawrence's Church, check to see if it is open as it is quite interesting inside with the history of the original house owners
The house was built by Sir Randle Mainwaring and dates from 1585, with additions and alterations
4 Go thro the wrought iron gate on the left to walk along the left side of the coach house. This has a triple arch and a working bell tower added by Sir Henry Mainwaring in 1764.The structure is Flemish brick bond and continues on to an older stable block dating from 1654 in English brick bond on stone plinths. Within this building are the architectural jewel; Grade I - listed Carolean stables built in 1654, with richly carved stalls and original Tuscan columns and strap work. Note the stone lintol with dedication dated 1654
The Hall and grounds have restricted public access - in 2017 from May-Aug, on a Tue & Thurs afternoon but check with the Historic House Ass or Peover Hall, tel 01565 757981.

5 The path is in the corner adjacent to the stream (Peover Eye). Stay by the stream until it winds its way to the road
