Canterbury to Chilham - Free version

This is a gentle walk along the River Stour from Canterbury to Chilham via Chartham. The route follows the pathed cycle path along the River Stour as far as Chartham, where the path heads into farm land and wooded down land before decending to Chilham Station, where a train can be taken back to Canterbury.

The route as far as Chartham is pathed or has a hard pack surface, however there are a number of cattle grids. Once leaving Chartham the path becomes less well made and may be unsuitable for buggies.

Note that in times of heavy rain, parts of the path near the river may be under water.
