This is a fabulous walk, Moorland, mountain, some woodland and coast.

From Newport climbing up to the top of Carningli its a bit of a haul but well worth the effort, the views are spectacular. From Carningli heading across the moorland, this can be very wet underfoot quite boggy. choose a time to walk after a period of dry weather. You will then be following, a mostly hard track, down to the main road and on to the coast. Once on the coastal path you will walk along cliff tops and into hidden beaches, what a treat for the eyes. towards the end of the walk there is a panoramic view of Newport, a picturesque town on a small estuary, fantastic.
