Exploring Caesar's Camp and surrounding MOD area.

Route sets off from and finishes at the Alfred pub in Upper Hale.

The route was designed for exercise and exploring the area and not going from A to B efficiently. There are some figure of eight loops and only a tiny amount of track retreading (Caesar's Camp top is visited twice).

If the route becomes too much it is easy to find a shorter way out or cut out the loops.

Generally, the majority of the route is very unpopulated (unless military exercises are underway!)

Mixture of open heathland, forests, and 5 lakes/ponds. Excelent views from the top of Caesar's Camp. Excelent area for wildlife.
