A fairly flat walk that takes in bridleways and footpaths through open spaces and farm land. Part of the walk passes through the Munden Estate and alongside the Rivers Colne & Ver.

Car Parking
The route starts from Bucknalls Lane, WD25 9JQ. Street parking is available on Bucknalls Lane and the adjoining roads. Forward over the M1 bridge, parking is available opposite the BRE entrance, this is usually quiet at weekends.
This is a circular which that could also be joined at Riverside Way Car Park, Colney Street, St Albans AL2 3TX.
Refreshements
Limited opportunities. If you have started the route from Bucknalls Lane at around the half way point not far off the route is the Moor Mill (Beefeater) pub/restaurant.
